Abrasive material feeding system

The purpose of the device is automatic feeding of abrasive material to high pressure water jet cutting machine tools.

Before the start of machine operation, the chute is filled with abrasive material (such as garnet with grain size F80). The lower pressure tank is filled by gravity via the chute valve. Once the tank is completely filled, it is automatically closed and the compressed air supply is started. The compressed air fluidizes and conveys the abrasive material to the machining centre AWJ. When the pressure tank is empty, it is automatically vented and the chute valve is opened. Once the tank is completely filled, it is automatically closed and the compressed air supply is started. This cycle is executed until the chute is empty. Once the abrasive material is added to the chute, the working cycle is executed again.

• Two capacitive sensors indicating minimum level of abrasive material in the tank (triggered at 80 kg);
• Audio and visual indication of the low level of abrasive material;
• Pressure tank may be operated for 10 years;
• Possibility to connect two water jets to the system.
