Garnet for sandblasting

WaterJet is a distributor of garnet for sandblasting.

Thanks to its hardness, purity of abrasive grains and high durability, GARNET, similarly to Aluminium Oxide, is a general-purpose abrasive, and many be used for abrasive blasting of virtually all materials. Moreover, GARNET has no magnetic properties and, what is most important, is a non-sparking material (therefore it is used for cleaning truck tanks, vessels, petrochemical equipment, gas stations, oil platforms). It does not increase radioactivity even above a very low background level of the surroundings.

Garnet grains have a very low safe level of contamination by soluble chlorides, sulfates and iron cations. The progress of rust tarnishing on ordinary steel surfaces (dry) blasted with garnet is much slower.  The above properties of Garnet ensure that no “underfinish corrosion” processes start underneath the protective coating.

Using GARNET, an abrasive material recommended by WaterJET Sp. z o.o., reduces operation cost. Thanks to its durability, this unique abrasive may be reused, which reduces the equipment operation cost.
